This ain’t gonna be pretty.
This project was a bare-bones attempt to recreate and white box one of the iconic levels from the Donkey Kong Country series in Unreal engine, without writing a single line of code. Hopefully you will forgive that everything looks very simple. Still something I’d like to come back to and continue to polish up.
As of right now, my future steps for this project are as follows:
- The cart stays towards the bottom of the screen and makes it hard to plan jumps.
- The speed on the cart needs tuning and perhaps a different approach to its variability.
- Blocking in some general forms in the background would add a lot.
